Her chances of getting out of this situation were slim if she stayed broke. Thorn despised being poor it was awful, it left her feeling trapped and further isolated from the rest of the world. ![]() She didn't do this frequently, but when she did, the creeps she attracted paid generously for her actions. The worst thing Thorn learned to do when she was just 14 was occasionally sell her body for money.īeing a teenager she didn't see the issue in this, didn't care that it was illegal for adults to do and really didn't see the big deal. She was barely ten years old when she started running around causing mischief and getting in danger, but somehow seemed to almost always get out unscathed. She made some friends but they were never close, and only further encouraged her to get herself into trouble. Hawthorn grew up antisocial for the most part. ![]() They were rowdy, violent, and seldom had good intentions. She never liked when her other family members would come over, either, and she had good reason. Thorn experienced the casual whiplash of being cared for in some areas while serially neglected in others, and sometimes was just downright abused. She grew up raised by her mother, a tough but protective woman who raised her daughter to be a shark. They'd stayed together for the wrong reasons, and finally split when Thorn was just two years old. ![]() They called her Hawthorn, or "Thorn" for short.īut like many who live in these places, her family was broken, rocky, and her parents had disputes.
